Under the guidance of Dr Anil Sardana, the Placement Cell of the college has been working hard throughout the semesters to ensure that maximum 3rd Year students get placed in reputed companies. The goal has been simple- to bring in various MNC’S that have diverse job profiles to cater to the needs of the students. This year a special focus was also on start-ups that offer a challenging and enriching job experience to fresh graduates. While the companies that have been coming to Shaheed Bhagat Singh over the past few years continued their hiring this year as well, new names also joined the wagon. What is all the more remarkable is that the companies, showing full faith in the abilities of the students of Bhagat Singh College have significantly increased the number of candidates that they are hiring.
The 1st Company that came for recruitments was EY GTH on 25th August 2014..The job profile offered was that of Assurance Associate at their Gurgaon office. Since nearly 200+ students had enrolled in, the placement drive was spread over 2 days. The company recruited a fantastic number of 58 students.
On 5th of September, Jet Airways visited our campus to recruit young and able girls for Cabin Crew. After preliminary rounds in the college, the selected candidates were called at the Jet Airways office for the final rounds.
Grant Thornton, another major firm visited our campus on 19th January 2015 looking to hire aspiring CA’S for Assurance and Tax Profile. They were also looking to hire non CA students for the Tax Profile.
After EY GTH, next in line was another big company- KPMG Global which visited our campus on 29th August 2014 with the same profile and the same job location. KPMG recruited 31 students from our college and was mighty impressed with what the students had to offer.
Axis Risk Consultancy visited our campus on 12th January 2015 with the profile of Analyst based out of their Gurgaon office. B.Com(H), B.Com(P) and B.A.(H) Eco students took part in this placement drive. The number of selected candidates again rose sharply this time as well.
PWC India visited our campus on 21st January 2014 to recruit CA articles for their Gurgaon office. They conducted an online test, followed by multiple interviews.
